Green Key

The Green Key is the international label for companies in the tourism and recreation branch, and in the market for meeting and congress venues, who seriously and controllable engage in sustainability, corporate social responsibility, with care for the environment on the company and the nature in their environment.

The Green Key guarantees the voluntary commitment of the entrepreneur to do more to the environment than the laws and regulations of expects for him.
The Green Key is a way to communicate the sustainable image of the company to guests, authorities and business relationships.

To qualify for the Green Key the entrepreneur must take many measures relating to the environment and corporate social responsibility. These measures are partly compulsory, partly optional.
Below a small selection from the many measures that Golden Tulip Amersfoort has affected;

•        Traditional lighting replaced by led lights and saving bulbs.
•        Offering rent bikes and a covered bicycle shed with charging point for electric bicycles.
•        Offering shuttle service between station and hotel
•        Supply of organic dishes
•        Handling of sustainable procurement within our organization
            Separating waste
•        Use of less environmentally damaging cleaning products and dosing dispenser
•        Water saving measures
•        Paper savings by various measures (confirm and invoicing by email, double printing, re-         use of paper)
